Nowadays it is challenging to get away from stars, athletes or just the average Joe talking about politics or religion. Social media such as Facebook has really put a cramp on “just having fun” conversations.

Finding anything to talk about that is not contentious is not easy.

A little background:

I am grateful to be in the Guinness Book for having the Largest Winnie the Pooh and Friends Memorabilia collection in the world since 2008.

Since then, I have held the Guinness World Record title and have crushed my own record numerous times. My initial record was set with having collected 3,891 items and today the record has amassed in excess of 27,000. Who knew there were so many items.

I very much relish collecting Winnie the Pooh “items”. Many Merton individuals consider stuffed animals, figurines or books when they visualize the collectables. The collection, however, includes so much more: crockpots, rings, socks, bathroom items, holiday décor, toys, music – the list goes on and on …

The part of the presentation that I believe interests people most is the fact at my husband, Gary, and I have had so many magnificent “experiences” while collecting that has taken us across the United Stated and across the globe.

In my book, How It All Began, I give readers an opportunity to discover how collecting items has become collecting experiences while meeting amazing people. I would enjoy meeting your amazing invitees in Merton.
