In our time it is tough to get away from stars, sports persons or just the average Joe talking about political issues or religion. Social media such as Facebook has really put a cramp on “just having fun” conversations.

Finding anything to chat about that is not controversial is challenging.

There is nothing I relish doing more than share accounts of my collecting escapades so if you need forty-five minutes or four hours filled – I am kinda like a gas and can fill any time frame needed.

A little background:

I am pleased to be in the Guinness Book for having the Largest Winnie-the-Pooh and Friends Memorabilia collection in the world since 2008.

Since then, I have held the Guinness World Record title and have crushed my own record numerous times. My first record was set with having collected 3,891 items and today the record has amassed to over 27,000. Who knew there were so many things.

I very much relish collecting Pooh “items”. Many Guthrie individuals think of stuffed animals, figurines or books when they envision the keepsakes. The collection, however, takes into account so much more: tea pots, bracelets, shirts, bathroom items, holiday décor, toys, music – the list goes on and on …

The part of the presentation that I believe interests guests most is the fact at my husband, Gary, and I have had so many wonderful “experiences” while collecting that has taken us across the US and across the world.

In my book, How It All Began, I give readers an opportunity to discover how collecting items has become collecting experiences while meeting amazing people. I would appreciate meeting your amazing guests in Guthrie.
