These days it is challenging to get away from stars, athletes or just the average Joe talking about political issues or religion. Social media such as Instagram has really put a cramp on “just having fun” conversations.

Finding anything to chat about that is not controversial is challenging.

A little background:

I am flattered to be in the Guinness Book for having the Largest Winnie-the-Pooh and Friends Memorabilia collection in the world since 2008.

Since then, I have held the Guinness World Record title and have smashed my own record several times. My original record was set with having collected 3,891 items and today the record has reached in excess of 27,000. Who knew there were so many items.

I very much love collecting Pooh “items”. Many Cudahy individuals consider plush, figurines or books when they envision the memorabilia. The collection, however, is comprised of so much more: mugs, bracelets, socks, bathroom items, holiday décor, toys, music – the list goes on and on …

The part of the presentation that I believe interests guests most is the fact at my husband, Gary, and I have had so many great “experiences” while collecting that has taken us across the United Stated and across the world.

In my book, How It All Began, I give readers an opportunity to discover how collecting items has become collecting experiences while meeting amazing people. I would appreciate meeting your amazing people in Cudahy.
