These days it is tough to get away from celebrities, athletes or just the average Joe talking about politics or religion. Social media such as Instagram has really put a cramp on “just having fun” conversations.

Finding anything to chat about that is not heated is a challenge.

A little background:

I am flattered to be in the Guinness Book for having the Largest Winnie-the-Pooh and Friends Memorabilia collection in the world since 2008.

Since then, I have held the Guinness World Record title and have crushed my own record several times. My first record was set with having collected 3,891 items and today the record has amassed in excess of 27,000. Who knew there were so many things.

I very much relish collecting Winnie-the-Pooh “items”. Many Lake Wales people consider stuffed animals, figurines or books when they envision the collectables. The collection, however, includes so much more: cooking tools, rings, sweatshirts, bathroom items, holiday décor, toys, music – the list goes on and on …

The part of the presentation that I believe interests invitees most is the fact at my husband, Gary, and I have had so many amazing “experiences” while collecting that has taken us across the United Stated and across the globe.
